Overall, summer 11 was pretty dandy! Can't believe its over,but I'm ready to get another school year under my belt and before I know it, it'll be summer again ;)

School at the U has officially been up and ruuning for two weeks, and I feel like I'm going to really enjoy this semester (cue gasps and calling me a nerd under your breath)

• fall semester provides me with two things that I miss during summer.. FOOTBALL and my tv guilty pleasure (VD)

well to update my countdown ladies and gents...only 5 weeks till powell... EEEEEEK! no where near my 'kini goal, but i still have plenty of time.

While in Moab, I was approached by Allison to go skydiving while we were down there. I jumped on the chance..I've wanted to jump since my dad went for his birthday last year. It was SO worth it. The jump was such a rush. The pure adrenaline rush, fear, and excitement was all smushed into one as I fell.

worth doing it again=YES YES YES.

 I had such a fun time in Moab this past weekend, it deserves its own post. I met some great people and became closer to those I already knew. Thanks to all who made it a blast!

epitome of courage...

I feel totally blessed to have the people in my family that I do. They have taught me so many important values, I would be nowhere if not for them..Here are two of them that have been in my thoughts and prayers lately.

POPPI :

 my awesome grandpa! He's currently going through the fight of his life right now with stage 4 non-hodgkins lymphoma..and it's spreading :( boo. What's truly inspiring about him is the fact that I haven't heard him complain ONCE! Man, what strength he must have to put on a brave face and just continue to live life to the fullest. I thank my Heavenly Father every day for this amazing blessing I have. I hope one day, when faced with dire circumstances, I too can stand up and trudge through everyday thankful to be alive and surrounded by family. I love you Poppi! Stay Strong!

OMA:

This amazing woman has gone through hell in her life ( pardon my french ;) ) She grew up in Holland during WWII and the reign of Hitler throughout Europe. She saw many good people lose their lives at the Nazi's hands, and almost lost her own. She survived a concentration camp..She survived coming to a new country and not knowing the language. She continually fought to stay alive, and pursue a better life. She struggled, and fought her way to come to America ( LEGALLY..no fence jumping..tee hee) to live with her sweetheart. She is so strong and is so loving. She has remained so strong throughout my poppi's battle with cancer. I wish that when I have my own family I can be half the lady she is...

3 hours till I go to work....almost the weekend...almost the weekend :)
2 days left to help get the house spotless for my little brother's baptism
11 weeks till I'll be here.... my absolute favorite place in the whole world...

Definitely Maybe

With finals looming, the stress is definitely packing on.. yes yes I only have a few classes... don't judge..After finals are over summer will officially begin...and that means a bucket list needs to be created of things I definitely maybe want to have happen.

Summer 2011:
definitely maybe:

•  Go to Moab ( for the first time..yet again don't judge.. I really don't get out much)
• Go to Lake Powell ( a tradition I'm not yet about to break)
• Go on a different Hike weekly ( gotta live it up..since there's so many here)
• Spend nights up the canyon with friends roasting delicious hot schmoes ( referencing Toy Story 2..in case you were wondering)
• Free movies in the park with a blanket and friends or family
• Go river rafting ( for the first time...man i'm really a homebody ;) )
• SKYDIVE
• climb up to the U

Although I can honestly say that all of these will happen { so much for the bucket list then eh?} I hope that I experience a whole lot more this summer, and can add to this list as ideas pop into my head. I have a feeling this summer will be the best to date.. although last year was pretty hard to top.
